
Executive - Accounts & Finance
Key Job Responsibilities
The Finance and Accounts Executive is responsible for supporting the finance department in day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and analysis activities. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the smooth operation of the organization’s finance function. The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Process invoices, verify supporting documents, and manage payments to vendors.
· Generate invoices for clients, follow up on payments, and manage accounts receivable aging reports.
· Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Assist in managing cash flow by monitoring incoming and outgoing payments.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
· Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements.
· Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the accounting system.
· Support the preparation of balance sheet schedules and other accounting reports.
· Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis.
· Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to help management make informed decisions.
· Conduct basic financial data analysis to identify trends and variances.
· Support the preparation and submission of tax returns, including GST/SST and corporate tax filings.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist with external audits.
· Maintain proper documentation for audit trails and statutory reporting.
· Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Assist in maintaining financial policies and procedures.
· Prepare bank reconciliations, monitor bank balances, and handle petty cash management.
· Support ad-hoc projects, reports, and other administrative duties as required by the finance team.
· Liaise with internal departments to resolve accounting and financial issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
