- Ensure adherence to defined data governance policies and standards, maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and consistency of enterprise data to support strategic objectives.
- Implement data governance framework and policy and collaborate with stakeholders to address governance challenges and areas in fulfilling data governance metrics & key performance index.
- Promote accountability and ownership of data across the organization, advocating best practices in data management.
- Provide advisory and guidance to stakeholders on data governance matters, focusing on fostering data stewardship, adherence to policies and standards, and alignment with organizational goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement key initiatives to operationalize the Data Governance framework and roll out the function enterprise-wide, supporting the objectives and deliverables of the data governance program.
- Execute activities related to the adoption of the data governance framework & policy, including the operating model, policies, and procedures across the organization.
- Engage and provide expert advice to stakeholders (e.g., Data Owners, Data Stewards, IT departments) to promote adoption and compliance with Data Governance policies and procedures.
- Provide advisory on matters related to internal and external data sharing, external data access, and data on cloud, ensuring compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advisory on matters related to information management based on the Information Classification Labelling and Handling Guideline (ICHG), processes, and procedures and promote the adoption of such practice enterprise-wide.
- Provide advisory on the cloud data governance, ensuring alignment with EPF’s cloud data matrix and security protocols.
- Understand requirements in Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) (including the amended PDPA) and establish necessary policy and procedures to comply with the PDPA.
- Ensure the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) framework is reviewed, updated, and aligned with enterprise requirements, including working with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define DLP needs based on data confidentiality.
- Assist in establishing AI governance by developing relevant guidelines, policies and structure.
- Coordinate and monitor projects and initiatives under the Data Governance Implementation Roadmap, reporting progress and outcomes to relevant committees and forums (e.g., Data Stewards Working Group, Data Governance Committee).
- Plan and design change management programs to promote awareness of Data Governance practices enterprise-wide, ensuring continuous engagement with EPF personnel at all levels.
- Prepare and provide comprehensive reports on Data Governance and DLP to management and relevant committees.
- Act as the secretariat for Data Governance committees, coordinating meetings, initiatives, and communication.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen.
- Pass Malay Language including an oral test at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by the Government.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or other related qualifications which are recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution.
- Having 5 years or more of relevant experience in areas of data governance, data management, data quality management, data security, data analytics and business analyst.
- Good experience in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Good analytical skills, meticulous and able to work independently.
- Team player with strong communication and good interpersonal skill.
- Results-oriented, fast-paced, resourceful and proactive.
- Resilient and able to deliver under pressure.
