About the job: The Payment Collection and Merchant Retention Specialist will be responsible for managing payment collections, maintaining strong relationships with merchants, and providing updates to the internal finance team and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.
Responsibilities we entrust you with :
- Contact merchants to collect outstanding payments and resolve any payment-related issues.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing merchants to ensure their satisfaction and retention.
- Provide regular updates to the internal finance team and stakeholders regarding payment collections and merchant status.
- Handle merchant inquiries and provide timely and accurate information.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Identify and escalate any potential issues or risks related to payment collections and merchant retention.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve payment collection processes and merchant retention rates.
What matters in the role:
- Proven experience in payment collection, customer service, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Knowledge of payment processing systems and financial reconciliation.
