You will be responsible for working closely with key internal stakeholders and clients to address resource needs for our Cyber Security Consulting Practice. Working as part of a broader team, you will be responsible for applying consistent resource planning and project coordination across a range of engagements and will work closely with the business to ensure all staffing needs are met. Primary areas of responsibility include the allocation of staff resources, resolving booking conflicts, project coordination, and monitoring availability and staffing requirements through our Resource Management System (Float). You will share information, ideas and workloads, and apply best practice resource planning and project coordination across the business.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and process staff and client scheduling requests made by engagement personnel

• Analyse and challenge resourcing requests against key engagement metrics to ensure the appropriate allocation of resources

• Identify and monitor resource availability, conflicts and shortages

• Coordinate project work with internal stakeholders and clients

• Conduct internal meetings and client meetings to enable the timely delivery of engagements

• Prepare relevant resourcing reports and analyse for inconsistencies, for example: chargeability, utilisation

• Educate client servicing personnel on the resourcing process

• Identify and implement improvements in practices, processes and reporting

• General admin and other related duties - data entry, timesheet monitoring, tool allocation

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications

• Experience working closely with large groups of people in a professional service oriented environment (workforce planning or previous resource planning is advantageous, but not essential)

• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

• Strong conflict resolution and negotiating skills to balance individual and business needs

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise workload

• High level of care, attention to detail and ability to organise work for a team of professional consultants.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Experience working closely with large groups of people in a professional service oriented environment

• Ownership for deliverables, actions and outcomes

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise workload

• A key interest in resource management and driving best practices

• An understanding of the basic financial drivers and key KPI’s of a professional services consultancy - particularly around production and utilisation or a proven aptitude to learn in the area of Cyber Security

• Experience in information/data analysis with a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to work as a team and adapt to changing priorities within the business and operational market

• A positive attitude and a ‘can do’ approach to the position and ability to work autonomously Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in workforce, resource planning, or project coordination

• Proficiency using a variety of systems, such as a CRM

• An understanding of project management

• Exposure to the Cyber Security industry and concepts
