Job Responsibilities:
- To lead the team in preparation of financial and regulatory reports to Group, BNM, PIDM and other regulatory authorities;
- To ensure compliance with accounting standards (i.e., IFRS & MFRS), policies and regulatory guidelines and assist Unit Head to implement changes in accounting standards;
- To liaise with external bankers, business units and regulators on clarifications and to provide additional information as and when required;
- To assist Unit Head in the New Product Approval Process and provide accounting and regulatory advisory in relation to transactions and products;
- To prepare and present results of strategic data analyses and researches made from financial reports and market trends to senior management; and
- To identify, streamline and automating process for improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Degree / Professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/MICPA) / finance / economics.
- Knowledge and relevant experience in financial reporting (i.e., GP8/ financial statements/ Group reporting/ loans, derivative matters, etc.), regulatory reporting (i.e., BNM reporting, PIDM reporting, MAS reporting) and Sustainability & Climate-related reporting) and would be an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, good written English. Proficient in Excel, Word & PowerPoint and experience with SQL, Qlikview, Power BI, Power Query, SmartView, etc, will be an added advantage.
- Self-starter, must have positive attitude towards work and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines and a proactive team player.
