Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description

The successful applicant will be part of the finance team that is responsible for maintaining the full financial reporting function, from reviewing the books and records, financial reporting, financial analysis to tax compliance of the group entities.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of consolidated accounts and perform quick review on the management accounts for consolidated entities.
  • Preparation of management accounts for group entities based on IFRS, and liaison and working closely with external parties for tax preparation, statutory audits, banking matters, and other finance-related transactions as needed.
  • Perform financial analysis based on the requirements of management, on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee group audit.
  • Oversee the billing function.
  • Other tasks as delegated by the management.
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related discipline from a renowned university.
  • Strong, solid knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS) and how to prepare consolidated financial statements is a must.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, and ICAEW is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a finance function role from an accounting/audit firm, international corporate, private equity firm, or financial institution.

  • Strong communication, interpretation, and presentation skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity and accountability for proposing solutions, time management, and reporting back to management in a timely manner.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, able to perform work with high accuracy, mature, self-motivated.
  • Being a team player is a must.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Prior experience in widely used accounting software such as Quickbooks is preferred.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English. The Chinese language is good to have but not mandatory.
