Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant in Finance and Accounts to join our team. You will manage daily accounting tasks, ensure financial records are accurate, assist with financial reports, and support overall financial management. You will also help ensure compliance with accounting standards and assist in preparing financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting & Bookkeeping: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including transactions, journal entries, and updates to ledgers. Help with posting accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Financial Reporting: Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assist during audits by providing necessary documents.
- Tax Compliance: Help with tax-related tasks and ensure taxes are paid on time and in line with regulations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support in preparing budgets and forecasts, and track actual expenses against budgeted figures.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll processing and ensure payroll entries are accurate and compliant with policies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Help manage and process accounts payable and receivable, keeping records up to date.
- Financial Analysis: Provide support in financial analysis to help with decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Any valid Certificate / Experiences in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar industry. Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of taxation and accounting principles is an additional.
- Experience with financial systems and software upgrades.
