The Position

This role will help with the detection of potential violation of laws, Organon’s Code of Conduct, global or local policies, relevant industry codes, or ethical standards, and to promptly investigation such matters and ensure appropriate remedial action is taken in response to substantiated concerns. This role will not only assist in the management of high-risk internal investigations but provide guidance across the company related to lower-level risk matters.
This position will report to the Executive Director of Global Investigations and Litigation, who is based in the United States. This position is based in China or other AP countries. For some investigations, travel throughout Asia (as permitted by local law) to conduct investigations is required. Passport status must enable travel on short notice.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that robust investigation activities, including regular monitoring activities (e.g., spot checks), and the collection and analysis of sensitive and confidential information and documentation from appropriate sources needed for investigation and preparing reports related to monitoring efforts and investigations and develop remedial action based on investigation findings
- Assist in conducting and documenting effective investigations with full understanding of corporate investigation best practices, and consideration of sensitivity to associates, ensuring their fair and respectful treatment in accordance with applicable policies, guidelines and/or laws.
- Collaborate with various individuals and departments, establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees and Subject Matter Experts such as Legal, Compliance, Human Resources/Employee Relations, Finance, IT, and Risk Management as needed to coordinate investigation-related activities.
- Serve as one of the dedicated investigation resources in Asia. May be called upon to conduct investigations globally.
- Maintain an unbiased approach and appropriate level of confidentiality throughout the investigation process. Communicate verbally and in writing with appropriate parties. Provide guidance to all levels of management on appropriate corrective action, ensuring consistency of guidance.
- Support other areas of the OGC function as needed, such as: periodic monitoring, testing, and analysis of ethics and compliance data, conducting ethics-related training, and supporting policy governance.
- Bachelor or equivalent degree in an applicable field (legal or finance related degree is preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years professional level experience in managing moderate to complex internal investigations or similar tasks (e.g., audits), with demonstrated experience in writing investigative/audit reports (experience in pharma or healthcare industry preferred)
- Substantive knowledge and skills in Anti-Corruption (i.e., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Bribery Act) or other similar laws
- Deep knowledge and application of workplace investigation procedures and principles and ability to handle complex investigations with objectivity, impartiality, and high level of confidentiality
- Organizational savvy combined with managerial courage to conduct investigations that may impact senior level employees
- Demonstrated knowledge of and good insight into various risk areas within the pharma industry
- Demonstrated ability to use various tools to perform data analysis to identify outliers/risk areas and to support the facts-finding of the investigations
- Demonstrated ability to perform eDiscovery exercise and in-depth document review to support the facts-finding of the investigations (accounting/auditing experience is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and apply metrics to analyze situations and make recommendations to facilitate prevention
- Fluency in Mandarin and English required. Must be able to conduct interviews and write reports in both Mandarin and English (proficiency in Korean, Japanese, or another Asia-based language is a plus)
- Excellent computer, IT, and mobile technology skills
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, networking and influencing skills
- Outstanding personal and professional ethics and ability to strictly abide by and model corporate policies
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and apply sound judgment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
