  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Software Developer – ETL Development

Competencies and Skills

  • University degree Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification Computer Science / Information Technology or it’s equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud migration projects, or ETL processes, preferably within banks, or financial institutions.
  • Solid working experience with clear understanding of support functions and technology trends of Risk, Compliance, HR and Finance.
  • Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary and regional environment
  • Must have 5+ years of strong experience with SAS and AWS services (Glue, Athena, Redshift).
  • Hands-on experience in data analysis, database design, data modelling concept and the development of data pipelines.
  • Experience with the AWS ecosystem, including services such as Glue, Athena, and Redshift, and familiarity with data integration best practices.

Job Specification

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and convey complex technical details related to cloud migration and data integration processes.
  • Strong understanding of the banking and financial services domain, particularly regarding regulatory requirements and data management practices.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages relevant to data engineering, particularly in SAS, SQL for AWS services (Athena, Redshift) and experience with ETL tools like AWS Glue.

Mandatory Skills:

  • SQL - Advanced query writing, ETL development and experience with data pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and tools (e.g., S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift).

Mandatory Tools:

  • Hands-on experience with data modelling and relational database design.
  • Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools and monitoring solutions.

Value Added

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions for data migration and integration challenges.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, financial data, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, credit risk model and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of data governance and security best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
