Our client, a renowned and top private hospital in Malaysia, is seeking a talented Assistant Finance Manager to join the team! This role is crucial in managing the hospital’s budget process, financial reporting, and capital expenditure while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. You will work closely with Heads of Departments (HODs), administrators, and management to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget & Financial Planning:
- Guide HODs through the budget process and provide templates.
- Facilitate budget review sessions and consolidate 54 cost center proposals for management approval.
- Ensure timely budget completion.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Supervise the General Ledger to ensure accurate data entry in MCC and TM1 systems.
- Compile and analyze financial reports, including CEO and Hospital Statistics Reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and P&L trend reviews.
Capital Expenditure & Compliance:
- Oversee Capital Expenditure Requests to ensure alignment with budgets.
- Assist in preparing CERs and maintain CAPEX request records.
- Prepare Capital Commitment Reports quarterly and at year-end.
General Finance & Advisory:
- Provide financial guidance to departments.
- Review tax computations and estimations (CP204/CP204A).
- Monitor daily census reports and liaise with banks, vendors, and tax authorities.
- Support the Director of Finance with assigned tasks.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business, Accounting, Management or related study is preferred.
- At least come with 5+ years’ experience in finance, and 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a customer-service mindset.
- Knowledge of MCC and TM1 systems is a plus.
