- Seeking an individual to join Standard Chartered as a Product Manager in the Storage and Backup team, under the Private Cloud Infrastructure domain. The role entails working with architecture, engineering, support, infrastructure teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment, life cycle management and usage of the product in the bank is successful. This role will play a critical part in helping shape and guide the future opportunities for new product selection, cost savings and deployment of new solutions in the various data centres under management. They will also assist in working with the teams to look at alternative solutions where required. This individual will additionally be responsible for managing the product catalogue, contract and financial management of the budget.
- Transformation, Technology & Operations (TTO) is a global organisation providing Cloud, Data, End User, Infrastructure, Integration, IT Service Management, Network and Security capabilities to all our clients and colleagues globally with an operating budget of $500mil USD and $200mil USD of change
Strategy
- Knowledge of storage products either by hands on experience, previously working for a storage vendor or in an infrastructure team that engaged significantly with storage
- Have the responsibility to understand the overall infrastructure and architectural designs that will be adopted by the technology teams and business users
- Have the ability to work interdependently, lead initiatives and the ability to influence
- A versatile and outspoken person who is efficient in managing stakeholders, getting the points across clearly and effectively
- Solving complex problems by working with the relevant teams on the right solutions that improve the customer journey and experience
- Working with the relevant teams to ensure the inventory is up to date and accurate, but also serves as the source of information to help drive estate management programs of work to keep the environment to the latest standards
- Drive refresh activities that include budgeting, procurement and coordinating with engineering and delivery teams to meet aggressive timelines
- Create and updated core technical documents that would be translated to standards that would be adopted by the bank
- Work with security and compliance teams to ensure our systems are compliant a d have a high quality of security hygiene
- Work with finance to ensure the budgets are adhered to and on pricing models
- Anticipate and evaluate business challenges and take action to mitigate. This also means assisting with the prioritising of items in the backlog
- Develop opportunities for innovation and out of the box thinking
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver new solutions and new practices to ensure the organisation capitalises on industry learning and growth
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects
- Appraise and interpret complex requirements to understand the impact of the organisation's ability to deliver change

- Realize the end-to-end delivery practice and its associated list of processes

- Be responsible for the risk management of change
- Drive the optimisation of delivery by reviewing and optimising data pertaining to the effectiveness of change
Risk Management
- Own the risks linked to the delivery of code into production
- Own the risks linked to the maintenance of code in production
- Own the end-to-end risks associated with the dev/test environments and the requisite tooling
- Drive for the closure of risks, operational events and audit findings on time, once and done
- Educate the team on risk management and continual mitigating of risk
- Comply with organisation risk management framework
- Find automated solutions to reduce risk and prevent human and manual solutions
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
