Position Overview:

Our Mobile Team at EA Sports is seeking a Game Designer to bring creativity, strategic thinking, and innovation to FC Mobile. As a Game Designer, you will be responsible for managing live operations, designing engaging events, and collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams to enhance player engagement and maximize revenue.

This role reports directly to the Live Service Lead for FC Mobile, located in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement live events that boost user retention and engagement.
  • Develop in-game merchandise and monetization strategies to drive revenue.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to live game issues and provide timely updates.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth live operations.
  • Experience in Live operations (Live ops) is required.
  • Collaborate with game producers, engineers, and product managers to optimize live content performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in designing in-game features, live events, or merchandise for a game company or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of game systems, live event logic, and monetization models.
  • Interest in and understanding of real-world soccer, including European leagues, or deep familiarity with soccer games.
  • Proficiency in Chinese to effectively communicate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in English is essential for seamless collaboration.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally when required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in launching and operating mobile games, especially live services.
  • Familiarity with operating sports games across platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to analyze game systems and content.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and understanding game performance through metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with popular soccer games such as FC Mobile, FC Online, Football, or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Vietnamese is a strong advantage, though not mandatory.
