The Role: Assistant Brand Manager (E-Commerce)

We are recruiting ambitious Assistant Brand Managers to join our team of e-commerce professionals. This program is ideal for those interested in applying cutting-edge e-commerce strategies in a global environment, with direct mentorship from the founding team and room for progression.

The Assistant Brand Manager role is designed to groom you to become a full-fledged e-commerce professional, running the end-to-end management of your allocated portfolio of brands.

This means 3 key responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate & monitor the margins on your product portfolio
  2. List your portfolio in e-commerce channels throughout Asia and deploy growth strategies to optimize for cash flow and margin
  3. Report your results

What Your Day May Look Like:

  • Procurement of inventory based on sales volume, forecasts, and internal SOPs.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockout or overstocked situations.
  • Launch, manage, monitor, and track e-commerce sales activities for your portfolio on sales channels.
  • Seek marketing support and/or negotiate better rebates from suppliers based on your marketing initiatives.
  • Stay in-tuned with competitors' marketing campaigns and update competitive pricing reports to maintain your portfolio’s competitiveness and profitability across sales channels.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and external stakeholders to help maintain and reduce operating costs (ie. warehousing and logistics partners).
  • Prepare daily and monthly key e-commerce KPIs reports (ie. sales, gross margin % in your portfolio, the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, etc.).
  • Market research of new products, including numbers of competitors in the market, list pric,e and sales volume.
  • Ad-hoc projects as required.

About You:

  • Procurement Experience: 0 - 3 years of experience managing inventory, evaluating gross margins, and purchasing from suppliers (open to fresh graduates).
  • E-Commerce Experience: 0 -3 years of experience in operating e-commerce channels (preference given to Lazada, Shopee, TikTok, and Shopify).
  • Analytical Aptitude: Proficient in tech tools for data analysis, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Agility & Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments with a continuous learning mindset.
  • Solution-Oriented: Proactive in seeking innovative solutions, even if it means diving deep into online resources.
  • Passion for pets: Curiosity about the pet industry and pet ownership.
  • Language Requirements: Good communication skills, can speak, write, and read English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Numerical Degree: You have a numerical-focused degree (accounting, finance, economics, data analytics) or demonstrated numerical proficiency.
