Responsibilities:

To grow new customers (90%) focusing on business development into new markets in Malaysia while maintaining some enterprise accounts (10%).

Job Scope:

  • Demonstrate a “hunter” mentality for acquiring new customers (90% of job scope).
  • Evaluate and develop strategies for targeted markets (Machine Building OEM, Electronics and Manufacturing companies) to generate new leads and opportunities.
  • Target clients and companies with specific R&D capability within Manufacturing space, eventually branching out to Oil & Gas and Chemical markets.
  • Hands-on and required to drive product presentations and technical demos with confidence.
  • Conduct market research, provide forecasts, and offer feedback to the General Manager for assessment.
  • Provide weekly reviews to the General Manager for reporting.
  • Explore partnership selling in Malaysia.
  • Adopt a sales-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales revenue.
  • Track record within B2B sales – especially in OEMs, electronics, or manufacturing sector a strong added bonus.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with customers.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure smooth delivery to customers.
  • Technical acumen and effectively communicate technical concepts (able to work with internal application and technical team).
  • Organize training for vendors, distributors, and customers.
  • Stay informed about new product launches and acquire the necessary technical knowledge.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering is a must, preferably with electrical or electronics background.
  • At least 4-5 years of relevant sales and engineering experience.
  • A highly independent and disciplined individual, who thrives on challenge of acquiring new clients, able to work with remote support.
  • Knowledge of handling low voltage or extra low voltage electrical component products.
  • Familiarity with and preference for working in smaller setup structure.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia and the region as required.
