About the role

AEON Co. (M) Bhd. (Retail) is seeking a full-time Butcher Cum Merchandiser to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring our meat and poultry offerings are expertly prepared, presented and merchandised to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Butchering and preparing a range of quality meat and poultry products
  • Maintaining exceptional levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the butchery and display areas
  • Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service and advice on product selection
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for meat and related merchandise as needed.
  • Plan and execute weekly ordering for stores based on sales targets and demand.
  • Identify potential meat products for development and innovation.
  • Monitor supplier delivery ratios and ensure smooth operational support.
  • Check and ensure proper execution of monthly promotion plans in-store.
  • Conduct store visits to review floor displays, backroom conditions, and overall meat presentation.

  • Proven experience as a butcher with strong meat preparation and cutting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene
  • Customer service orientation and the ability to provide helpful advice to shoppers
  • Strong organization and time management skills to work efficiently

  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
