Accenture is seeking a skilled Data Center Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in data center environments. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to the highest industry standards.
This role is 100% on site
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review the design and implementation of electrical distribution systems, including high voltage (HV), low voltage (LV), and DCIM or ECMS systems, ensuring alignment with the client's requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor and ensure third-party vendors and contractors execute maintenance activities for electrical systems in compliance with established standards, operational efficiency, and project specifications.
- Identify and provide solutions for potential electrical issues to minimize risks, reduce downtime, and maintain the reliability of critical systems.
- Review and maintain detailed records of electrical system configurations, testing reports, and compliance documentation to support project milestones and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the client and contractors to ensure all electrical works meet contractual obligations and high-quality standards.
- Support the client during emergency response efforts by providing technical insights and ensuring contractors follow established protocols to restore normal operations efficiently.
- Facilitate regular assessments to ensure energy efficiency and sustainability targets are met, recommending optimization strategies where applicable.
- Facilitate and coordinate training sessions or knowledge-sharing workshops to familiarize the client’s operations team with new electrical technologies and systems.
- Oversee and validate the testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems to ensure seamless integration into the operational framework and alignment with the client’s goals.
- Regularly inspect ongoing construction and installation activities, ensuring alignment with approved designs, codes, and project schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. OR additional four (4) years of related experience. OR additional four (4) years of related experience.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in data centers. Internships or co-op experiences are advantageous.
- 3+ years of senior level construction management or design management experience.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, DDC, PLC, and relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
- Familiarity with electrical safety protocols and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while being proactive in taking on responsibilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score)
