Role & responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver a top-notch OT service, customizing therapy sessions based on individual needs assessment.
  • Continuously improve our service quality by identifying and implementing best practice standards and operational procedures.
  • Develop and review progress reports for IEPs (Individualised Education Plans).
  • Craft comprehensive reports to oversee student performance and progress.
  • Implement inclusive teaching strategies and techniques through special education to empower students in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with staff members in designing instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, subject to periodic reviews by the Human Resource department.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Head of Gifted Kids Department.

The Speech/Language Pathologist assists in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. To respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Speech/Language Pathologist must work closely with the staff and administration of the cooperative and school district.

  • Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder or progressive neurological disorders.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide detailed documentation and records of evaluations and treatments according to in-house policies
  • Keep up-to-date administrative records, reports and statistics as required by the school/ center.
  • Ability to develop and review progress report IEP (Individual Education Plan) and EIP(Early Intervention Program)
  • Prepared Writing reports ( Emotional Behaviour Report, Monthly Progress Report, Term Progress Report & etc)
  • Implement Inclusion setting through special education teaching strategies and techniques to enable students meets their goals.
  • Planning, preparing, and researching lessons (daily and weekly therapy plan ,long and short term treatment goals plan)
  • Work as a team with other staff members in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
  • To abide by the Company policies and procedures provided by the Human Resource department which will be reviewed from time to time.
  • Perform any other duties as entrusted to you by the Assistant Head of Gifted Kids Department / Head of Gifted Kids Departments.

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise

  • Minimum Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Fresh graduates are more than welcome to apply!
  • 1-3 years of experience working with children with learning disabilities is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to relocate to Kuala Lumpur / Petaling Jaya with a reliable commute.
  • Compassionate and positive attitude with the ability to work constructively as part of a team.
  • A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality.
