FACILITIES MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE
The Facilities Management Executive is responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day operations of an organization’s physical infrastructure. This Includes ensuring the efficient maintenance, safety, and functionality of Buildings, grounds, and equipment. The role requires strong leadership, Excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of facilities Management principles.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversee the daily operations of all facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and comply with regulations
- ·Manage and supervise facilities staff and contractors, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair work, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
- Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, addressing any issues promptly
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
- Monitor expenses and control costs while maintaining high standards of service
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with service providers and vendors
- Ensure quality and timeliness of services provided by external contractors
- Optimize the use of space within facilities to accommodate organizational needs
- Plan and oversee office moves, renovations, and new construction projects
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
- Ensure facilities are equipped with necessary safety and emergency equipment
- Implement sustainable practices to reduce the environmental impact of facilities operations
- Promote energy efficiency and resource conservation initiatives
- Utilize facilities management software and other technology solutions to improve efficiency and reporting
- Stay updated on the latest facilities management trends and technologies
JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent certification is preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations
- Understanding of the fundamental principles of facilities management, including operations, maintenance, and management of buildings and grounds
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, etc.) and their maintenance requirements
- Understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations
- Knowledge of safety protocols, emergency response, and risk management practices
Skill
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
