
Junior Planner
Job Description
1. Responsible for supporting the planning department by assisting with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
2. Involve coordinating with different teams to ensure timely production, maintaining stock levels, and optimizing the use of resources.
3. Work under the guidance of senior planners to ensure smooth production workflows and adherence to production schedules.
4. Assist in the development of production schedules based on customer orders, forecast demand, and available resources.
5. Support senior planners in analyzing production capacity and resource availability to align with production goals.
6. Help ensure that materials and components are available to meet production requirements and avoid delays.
7. Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure that raw materials, components, and finished goods are available when needed.
8. Coordinate with the procurement department to reorder materials and components as required.
9. Assist in scheduling production tasks and work orders to optimize workflow and ensure that deadlines are met.
10. Collaborate with production teams to adjust schedules based on changes in demand, resource availability, or delays.
11. Prepare and maintain reports on production status, inventory levels, and delivery timelines.
12. Identify trends or issues and provide recommendations to senior planners for improvement.
13. Assist in coordinating with customers or sales teams regarding order delivery and potential changes in production schedules.
14. Update planning systems and databases to reflect changes in production or inventory status.
15. Continuously analyze the schedule for efficiency improvements and adjust optimize project timelines.
16. Work with Customer Service Officer on rescheduling customer order for any demand’s changes.
17. Monitors on material shortages, expediting and ensuring material availability to support production plan.
18. To perform any other tasks as and when assigned by superior.
Skill : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data analysis, spreadsheets, etc.). Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or planning software is a plus. Basic understanding of production processes, inventory control, and scheduling.
Experience : Some experience in production planning, inventory management, or related roles is an advantage (internships or prior work experience).
