Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Korean Cuisine Chef to prepare and oversee the production of authentic Korean dishes in a factory setting. The chef will be responsible for ensuring food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and optimizing kitchen operations to meet large-scale meal production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:1. Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook authentic Korean dishes such as kimchi, bulgogi, bibimbap, tteokbokki, japchae, and jjigae in large quantities.
- Develop and standardize recipes for consistency in taste and quality.
- Adjust flavors and seasonings to meet factory workers’ dietary preferences while maintaining authenticity.
2. Kitchen Operations & Management
- Supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and timely meal service.
- Oversee food storage, inventory control, and ingredient procurement to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality Korean ingredients, including gochujang, doenjang, and Korean spices.
3. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, GMP, and local health authorities).
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Conduct regular checks on kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
4. Menu Development & Quality Control
- Plan and develop nutritious and balanced Korean meal plans suitable for factory workers.
- Introduce variety in the menu while keeping costs within budget.
- Conduct taste tests and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
5. Team Training & Supervision
- Train kitchen staff on Korean cooking techniques, food handling, and portion control.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to kitchen SOPs.
- Promote teamwork and efficiency in a high-volume food production environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Korean Cuisine Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or large-scale catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Korean recipes, cooking techniques, and ingredient usage.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and ability to implement hygiene best practices.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good leadership and communication skills to train and supervise staff.
- Physically fit and able to work long hours in a kitchen environment.
- Preferred: Certification in Culinary Arts, Food Safety, or equivalent.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
