1. Overseeing Production Operations
- Manage daily operations of the SMT and THT production lines, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Supervise a team of technicians and operators working on the SMT and THT equipment, ensuring that they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure that production schedules are followed and that the lines operate efficiently, avoiding downtime or bottlenecks.
2. Team Leadership and Training
- Lead and motivate the production team, ensuring that all team members are adequately trained in SMT and THT processes and safety standards.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to staff on the operation of SMT and THT machines, quality standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
3. Quality Control and Process Improvement
- Ensure that product quality is consistently maintained by monitoring production processes and conducting quality checks at various stages.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to implement and improve inspection processes for both SMT and THT, including using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and other testing methods.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies to improve overall throughput and reduce defects, implementing process improvements where necessary.
4. Inventory and Materials Management
- Ensure that the necessary materials and components for both SMT and THT assembly (such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, and other electronic components) are available in sufficient quantities.
- Oversee the management of raw materials, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and shortages or overstocking are avoided.
5. Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Oversee the maintenance of both SMT and THT equipment, ensuring that machines are regularly serviced to minimize downtime.
- When issues arise, the supervisor needs to troubleshoot problems, whether it's related to the machines, materials, or human error, and resolve them swiftly.
- Coordinate with engineering teams for the setup and calibration of machines, as well as for the implementation of any necessary changes to the production line.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical expertise in both SMT and THT assembly processes and equipment.
- Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of technicians and operators.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation.
- Familiarity with production scheduling, inventory management, and materials handling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with different departments (quality assurance, supply chain, engineering, etc.).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or electronics environment, particularly in SMT and THT processes.
- Hands-on experience with SMT and THT equipment, as well as in troubleshooting and quality control.
