Job Responsibilities
To drive revenue generation for IMU University, with a focus on IRDI products and services. This role will leverage expertise in strategic sales & marketing to develop and execute targeted campaigns, engage new business opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. The manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with key industry stakeholders, overseeing digital and traditional market engagement strategies, and ensuring the alignment of marketing efforts with the overall goals of IMU research commercialization.
Strategic Business Development
- Collaborate with IRDI to evaluate and identify opportunities for engagement with industry that may result in IMU research commercialization goals
- Conceptualise and implement strategic plans to realize revenue generation across laboratory services, consultancy, contract research (including clinical research utilizing IMU-MOH Clinical Trial Unit), and research related CPD or staff upskilling programmes.
- Collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to create high-impact marketing materials and campaigns, both online and offline.
- Oversee the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including but not limited to Google SEM, social media, email marketing, and website content management.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities, while staying ahead of industry competitors.
- Lead outreach programs, including cold calling, social media prospecting, and industry networking, to generate new business leads.
- Promote the full suite of IRDI products and services and IMU’s expertise, increasing visibility across multiple channels to expand the customer base.
- Manage and enhance social media platforms, ensuring consistent engagement with clients and prospects.
- Represent IMU at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to boost brand presence and build new relationships.
- Cross-sell to contribute to revenue generation and industry engagement across other departments where possible, including for graduate employability, lifelong learning, and community engagement.
Administrative Support and Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of marketing reports, tracking KPIs, campaign effectiveness, and other metrics to assess the impact of marketing activities.
- Ensure all marketing materials, resources, and documents are organized and accessible.
- Assist in budget planning and allocation for marketing campaigns and resources.
Job Requirement
- A strong undergraduate degree in the field of Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Marketing, Public Health, Biotechnology or Life Sciences.
- At least 6 years of experience in a business development or marketing role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position (Assistant Manager level or equivalent),.
- Experience in the medical and health sciences industry is an added advantage.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing tools, including Google SEM, Facebook Ads, social media platforms, and content management systems.
- Experience in market research, data analysis, and customer insights to identify opportunities and shape marketing strategies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive, innovative, and results-oriented with a strategic mindset.
