Job Summary :
The HR Officer (Payroll & Attendance) is responsible for managing and processing payroll, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Job Description :
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, including salary calculations, overtime, allowances, and deductions.
- Ensure accurate payroll records and timely salary disbursement.
- Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and income tax deductions.
- Monitor and manage employee attendance records, leave applications, and work schedules.
- Verify timesheets and ensure accurate reporting of working hours.
- Address attendance-related issues and irregularities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and ensure compliance with payroll and attendance policies.
- Generate payroll reports and provide necessary data for audits and management review.
- Assist in employee onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll and benefits.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and payroll systems.
- Support HR team in other administrative functions as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll and attendance management.
- Proficiency in payroll software (i-Flexi) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with local labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and problem-solving abilities.
