Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper in the daily operation of the department, including supervision of room, laundry, and public area cleaning.
  • Monitor and maintain the hotel’s cleanliness standards in all guest rooms and public areas.
  • Train and mentor housekeeping staff, ensuring that all members understand and comply with hotel standards and operating procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling and managing staff levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment and ensure adequate staffing throughout the year.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards.
  • Manage inventories of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens, and order as needed.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or accommodations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that guest needs are met and operations are efficient.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting for the housekeeping department, focusing on cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Maintain close working relationships between the Housekeeping Department and the other departments especially Front Office, Food and Beverage, Engineering and Security department.

Requirements

1. 5 years of previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles preferably in a 5 Star branded hotel.

2. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

3. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

4. Proficiency in housekeeping management systems and relevant computer applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
