QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION :

Possess minimum SPM or Technical Certificate or other equivalent.

EXPERIENCE :

Minimum 2 years' working experience in related field.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES :

To perform, in compliance with IEE, CEI and Suruhanjaya Tenaga rules, regulations by laws and acts currently in- force or hereinafter enacted, regular scheduled preventive maintenance, servising, testing and repairing of all electrical switchboard, switch gears, transformers, standby generator sets, distribution boards and all ancillary equipment, plants and systems related to and associated with the supply, generation and distribution of electrical power in the hotel.

To perform regular schedule preventive maintenance, servicing, testing and repairs af all electric motor aseemblies.

To re-cable, in accordance with all relevant rules, regulation, by- laws and statutory acts currently in- force or hereinafter enacted and in compliance with good engineering practices and principles, all temporary wirings installed.

To cable and to install in accordance with all relevant rules, regulations, by -laws and statutory acts currently in - force or hereinafter enacted and in compliance with good engineering practices and principles, all new switchboard, Main Control Circuit Breakers (MCCBs), Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCBs), etcetera.

To trace, isolate and rectify in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, by-laws, statutory acts currently in - force or hereinafter anacted and in compliance with good engineering practices and principles, all electrical trappings due to earth leakage faults, cable faults, manufacturing defects or other faults in the lectrical cables or in electrical equipment and appliances, and etc.

To carry out repair and modifications to existing equipment, plants, services and systems as detected by circumstances and as directed by the M&E Manager.

To plant and to systematically implement the setting up, testing, debugging and commissioning of all new electrical equipment, plants and services.

To co-ordinate effectively all works including contract works with other departments and/ or guests, safety problems and operating expenses.

Regularly inspects and monitors the conditions of the Hotel equipment and immediately takes appropriate correctives actions.

Skilfully undertakes and follows through general preventive maintenance works as assigned and speedily and effeciently carries out general repair works as assigned.

Requisitions necessary supplies and equipment to perform assigned works. Efficiently and properly utilities supplies and equipment to the Engineering Workshop as soon as practical.

Reports hazardous practices and conditions to the M&E Manager. After consultation with him, takes agreed corrective actions as appropriate.

Is responsible for keeping the consumer's LV and HV switch rooms, standby generator set room and other related plants rooms and orderly conditions. Also, keeps tools and equipment in clean and orderly fashion and in good working conditions.

Become fully familiar with the locations and operation of all fire - fighting equipment including portable fire extinguishers, hose reels, sprinklers. To perform, with the assistance of other departments, fire - fighting services.

Advices M&E Manager, of potential maintenance and repairs works and recommends purchase of non - stock supplies and spare parts as appropriate to minimize safety problems, inconveniences to quests operating expenses.

Plans and performs daily works in the most efficient manner to minimize inconvenience to guests.

Works under the general supervision of the M&E Manager, but are able to work by themselves on jobs assigned.

To perform to satisfaction and as expenditiously as possible or within the frame set any other related job assigments as and when delegated by the M&E Manager.
