Position Overview:

We are a growing pet animal healthcare provider dedicated to providing high-quality pet healthcare and services to our clients. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Account Clerk to join our team and support the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Record Maintenance:

  • Input financial transactions into accounting systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in records or accounts Transaction Processing:
  • Record payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts payable/receivable and follow up on overdue payments.

Document Management:

  • Organize and file financial documents, such as invoices, purchase orders, and statements.
  • Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Financial Reporting Support:

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and budgets.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries about financial matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent; a diploma in accounting or related field is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in an accounting or clerical role is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy in financial data.
