Position Overview:
We are a growing pet animal healthcare provider dedicated to providing high-quality pet healthcare and services to our clients. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Account Clerk to join our team and support the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry and Record Maintenance:
- Input financial transactions into accounting systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Reconcile discrepancies in records or accounts Transaction Processing:
- Record payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts payable/receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
Document Management:
- Organize and file financial documents, such as invoices, purchase orders, and statements.
- Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Financial Reporting Support:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and budgets.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Communication and Coordination:
- Respond to internal and external inquiries about financial matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent; a diploma in accounting or related field is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or clerical role is preferred but not mandatory.
Work Environment:
- Office-based, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy in financial data.
