Inspector- Measurement Department (1 year Contact)
Job description
The Inspector is responsible for conducting and monitoring on-site measurements of materials (e.g., crude oil, refined products, chemicals, additives) and ensuring accurate data collection for custody transfer, inventory management, and operational reporting. This role involves operating measurement equipment, maintaining records, and supporting the Measurement Department in achieving accurate and reliable data.
General Duties of the Inspector:
- On-Site Measurements
Perform measurements of crude oil, intermediate products, and finished oil products, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with operational standards.
- Proficiency with Measurement Equipment
Skillfully operate equipment (e.g., flowmeters, level gauges) to measure volume, density, temperature, and other parameters of oil products.
- Supervision
Monitor third-party measurement activities on crude tankers and at the HRC tank area.
- Tank Inventory and Data Recording
Conduct inventory checks of storage tanks, verify stock quantities, and record the data.
- Documentation and Reporting
Complete measurement record forms, daily reports, and shift handover logs as required.
Enter metering data into the information system promptly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Operate measurement equipment correctly, ensuring measurement precision and proper functioning.
Perform routine inspections and cleaning of measurement equipment and report any malfunctions promptly for repair.
- Calibration and Repair Support
Collaborate with technical personnel to complete calibration and maintenance of equipment.
Report abnormal metering data and assist in investigating the causes.
- Safety Compliance
Strictly adhere to safety operating procedures to ensure accident-free metering operations.
Identify and report safety hazards promptly and take appropriate measures.
- Team Collaboration
Assist the team leader in completing measurement tasks and managing equipment.
Cooperate with relevant departments in data analysis, statistics, and process improvement efforts.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum diploma or certification in a technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in measurement or surveying roles.
- Proven experience in measurement operations, preferably in an oil and gas refinery or similar industry.
- Proficiency in operating measurement equipment such as flowmeters, level gauges, and temperature sensors.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
