Reforming Processes and Hydrogen Integration
- Responsible for providing technical support to the Catalytic Reforming Unit (CCR) and Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit.
- Support the Operations and Planning teams in setting and meeting the refining operating weekly and monthly plans.
- Ensure effective process monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to meet unit KPIs, including product quality, yield, energy efficiency, and overall operation.
- Address reliability issues and perform process troubleshooting and de-bottlenecking in the assigned units.
- Identify and implement specific projects to improve the reliability, integrity, efficiency, operability, capacity, and margins (BIP) for the plant.
- Provide process and operational input into process safety reviews, commissioning, and performance test runs for all plant changes.
- Take on the role of Basic Data Coordinator, working closely with other relevant technologists and the CE&S team to ensure the integrity of basic data used in the LP to guide economic planning and operations of the refinery.
- Lead or participate in providing necessary input into incident investigations and problem-solving.
- Responsible for providing startup and commissioning support, reviewing standard operating procedures, and participating in PSSR.

- Provide effective and efficient technological support to the site in troubleshooting, optimization, and safe plant operation.
- Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environment practices and procedures outlined in the Refinery H.S.S.E. Management System and group guidelines.
- Monitor plant performance against approved targets on a day-to-day basis, identifying existing or potential technical problems and responding accordingly to threats.
- Identify and implement specific projects to improve the safety, reliability, integrity, efficiency, operability, capacity, and margin of the plant.
- Provide process and operational input into Process Safety reviews, commissioning, and performance test-runs for all Plant Changes.
- Lead or participate in providing necessary input into incident investigations and problem-solving.
- Serve as a direct interface between HRC PD Technology and Operations/Engineering to facilitate the implementation of Plant Changes, including best practices.
- Coach junior technologists and onsite personnel to build competencies in distillation and process engineering.
- Identify and implement business improvement tactics in coverage units.
Job Requirements:
- Experienced Chemical Engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the Oil & Gas industry (preferred) or process industry.
- Being well-versed in refinery configuration, integration, and economics is expected; experience in distillation would be an added advantage
- Strong leadership and team player skills.
- HSSE-JCP skills in accordance with HRC standards.
- Functional competency in accordance with the Functional Job Competency Profile (JCP).
- Exposure to Reforming Technology or hydrogen manufacturing technologies.
- Proficient with process simulation and analytical tools.
