Logistics Specialist || Specialize in Import & Export || Pasir Gudang

Job Description:

• Oversee the end-to-end import and export processes, including shipment scheduling, documentation, and customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with import / export regulations, tariffs, and duties.
• Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
• Handle all logistics documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to track the movement of materials and products.
• Coordinate with transportation providers or logistics agents to optimize shipping methods.
• Negotiate freight rates and ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Monitor the progress of shipments, address any delays, and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records for all import and export transactions, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and related contracts.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant international and local trade laws, including customs regulations.
• Ensure that all shipping documentation complies with the organization’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, production, and sales) to understand demand and shipment requirements.
• Resolve issues related to shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, and customs issues.
• Address and troubleshoot any logistical challenges that arise during the import/export process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in logistics, with a focus on import/export operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of global logistics, international trade regulations, and customs compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, in order to have smooth conversation with colleagues, management teams, clients and custom.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
