Job Description:
- Oversee the end-to-end import and export processes, including shipment scheduling, documentation, and customs clearance.
- Ensure compliance with import / export regulations, tariffs, and duties.
- Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
- Handle all logistics documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to track the movement of materials and products.
- Coordinate with transportation providers or logistics agents to optimize shipping methods.
- Negotiate freight rates and ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Monitor the progress of shipments, address any delays, and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records for all import and export transactions, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and related contracts.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant international and local trade laws, including customs regulations.
- Ensure that all shipping documentation complies with the organization’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, production, and sales) to understand demand and shipment requirements.
- Resolve issues related to shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, and customs issues.
- Address and troubleshoot any logistical challenges that arise during the import/export process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in logistics, with a focus on import/export operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of global logistics, international trade regulations, and customs compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, in order to have smooth conversation with colleagues, management teams, clients and custom.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
