Honeywell is seeking Communications Specialist, Korea & Japan, reporting to the Director, Asia Pacific Communications, and matrixing to the Country President of Honeywell Korea, Executive and Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility. This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This leader will deliver internal communications support for the regional leader of Honeywell Asia Pacific, as well as our Country President of Honeywell Korea. This work involves planning communications plans supporting regional business priorities and flawlessly executing in a complex, dynamic environment.
The person in this role will develop and execute internal communication strategies resulting in campaigns that drive employee engagement and forge stronger alignment with the company growth priorities.
Storytelling experience and prowess is a must as this individual will help guide efforts to consistently develop creative, compelling, and human-focused content that connects Honeywell employees with each other, leaders, and the company’s strategic initiatives. Fluency in and passion for analytics is also imperative as we seek to measure and interpret data that help us enhance our communication practices across the company.
This individual will work closely with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, promoting volunteer activities in in the region.
Finally, the individual in this role must be willing to roll up sleeves and help plan and promote signature internal initiatives, such as impact month, volunteer month, employee engagement and Voice of the Employee campaigns.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, independent communications professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably from a corporate or agency background and with proven track record of driving communications success. This individual should have executive presence and a keen interest in understanding a business, a strong orientation toward process and organization, and the ability to influence partners and clients in a highly matrixed corporate environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication are required, as is mastery of English.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead the Korea and Japan internal communications strategies to strengthen employee engagement and Honeywell’s positioning as a company focused on growth.
Support Asia Pacific’s internal communications strategies to strengthen employee engagement and Honeywell’s positioning as a company focused on growth.
Support major initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes, and other transformation steps through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
Support cross-company measurement of communications effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Raise the bar on the quality of communications by guiding content strategies that result in elegantly simple, visually compelling, and easily understandable communications.
Oversee and contribute to editorial planning/development in support of Honeywell’s drive for growth.
Partner with strategic business groups to develop and execute external (customer, partner) communications plan
Oversee the development and maintenance of Korea/Japan Honeywell website and social media accounts
Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with various members of the Korean/Japanese media.
Develop, implement and adhere to Korea/Japan communications budget
You Must Have
A bachelor's degree.
Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in internal communications in a corporate or an agency environment.
