Job Duties:

Duties:Involve in supervising daily production and responsible for the department operating process.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Involve in daily production and prepare a wide variety of pastry such as breads/cakes, cookies, pies, etc following recipes

2. Work closely together with commissioner and executive chef in developing new and exciting breads/desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.

3. Lead the team in line with the direction and culture company is heading to.

4. Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients, ensure adequate use of raw material and ordering with relevant department.

5. Meeting with team members to discuss details and planning of custom-made desserts and pastries for special occasions, such as weddings, corporate order and so on.

6. Supervise, coordinate and assist in the activities of the bakery staff engaged in proper cleaning, weighing, mixing, cutting, baking, cooking in the preparation of all food items; and supervises and coordinates the tray setup according to menus and specifications for bakery.

7. Ensure excellent quality throughout the pastry offerings.

8. Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.

9. Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel.

10. Arrangement of staff duty roster / leave arrangement / OT arrangement.

11. Ensure that company rules and regulations are followed by proper counseling and disciplinary.

12. Supervisory responsibilities also include appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and solving problems.

13. Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.

14. Establish positive company culture and deliver correct value within the companies.

15. Responsible for small item procurement (Packaging / Decoration / Ingredients) for department need.

16. Ensure all report/documentation well monitored, organized and submit on time.

17. Other ad-hoc relevant duties assigned by management.

Authority:

1. The right to suggest work improvement

4. The right to evaluate the management level, service level and performance of the subordinates

5. The right to develop the products and suggest idea

6. The right to purchase raw material / ingredients / packaging for the product

7. The right to arrange/allocate man power within department with BOD / Supervisor / HOD.

Qualification:

1. Good knowledge of different types of bread/pastry, dessert, cake decorating.

2. In-depth knowledge in various raw ingredients using in creating bread/pastry and flavours.

3. Posses professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings.

5. Positive attitude and Good communication skills.

6. 4 Years of experience in pastry cooking or Pastry Chef / Baker Chef Experience.
