Tender Coordinator
Preferably LABUAN / SABAH CANDIDATES
Responsibilities
1. Capture tender documents, summarize the scopes and prepare logbook as tasks tracker.
2. Attend all necessary Tender activities e.g. tender briefing, site visit, etc.
3. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to understand the scope, deliverables, and constraints.
4. Coordinate and work with the Department Engineers on Technical Documents preparation.
5. Assign costs to each item using historical data, market rates, supplier/subcontractor quotes, and labor rates. Account for inflation or supply chain fluctuations.
6. Identify risks (e.g., delays, design changes, site conditions) and add a contingency allowance (typically 5–15%) to mitigate uncertainties.
7. Brainstorm with Management on Value Engineering to propose cost-effective alternatives (e.g., materials, methods) to reduce expenses without compromising quality or compliance.
8. Compile and prepare detailed, compliant bid document and submit to Management for approval before submission.
9. Maintain records of assumptions, data sources, and methodologies for future reference or dispute resolution which to perform analysis on those tenders which not awarded to Lenog.
10. Sources and negotiates with specialist subcontractors (e.g. Consultants, Engineering, or Storage Tank experts) to fulfill niche scopes of work.
11. Manages subcontractor pre-qualification, pricing, and contractual terms.
12. Develop Tender Summary for all services tender.
13. Provide cost estimation for services which requested by Term Contract Client.
14. Streamline budgeting methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
15. Conduct a cost analysis of previous tenders to refine future pricing strategies.
16. Research and update market rates for materials, equipment, and labor costs.
17. Develop a pricing model for different project types.
Candidate must possess at least:
- Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Diploma.
- At least 2-3 years of working experience.
- Familiarity with tender documentation, technical specifications, and pricing structures.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Good coordination and follow-up skills, especially with internal teams and external vendors/suppliers.
- Proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Preferably Labuan or Sabahan candidates.
