Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our educational institution. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and the overall HR strategy to support the growth and development of our faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR best practices and the education industry in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the recruitment process for academic and non-academic positions, ensuring alignment with the institution’s needs.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely and efficient hiring processes.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and resolve employee-related concerns and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages open communication, teamwork, and employee engagement.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance appraisal process, including setting performance goals, conducting appraisals, and providing feedback.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and staff to improve performance and meet organizational objectives.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and work with management to create employee development programs.
  • Ensure continuous professional development for academic staff and administrative staff in alignment with the institution’s objectives.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate compensation for all employees.
  • Oversee benefits administration and ensure compliance with local labor laws, including the EPF (Employee Provident Fund), SOCSO (Social Security Organization), and taxation regulations.

Compliance and Policies:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in Malaysia.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and organizational best practices.
  • Monitor and ensure the institution adheres to all regulations, including health and safety standards.

HR Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare HR reports for management and provide insights on HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment efforts.

Employee Engagement:

  • Organize and promote employee wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Experience with HR software and systems.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
