About the Team
The Sales Leader role is positioned within the Malaysia sales team at Nutanix. This team is responsible for driving growth in the Malaysia market, leveraging our strategic alliances, OEM GTMs and channel partnerships. The team culture emphasizes trust, integrity, and collaboration, with a mission to not only achieve sales targets but also to build lasting relationships with customers and partners. Team members are expected to support each other in their professional development while navigating the demanding nature of the sales environment.
You will report to the Regional Head of Sales based in Singapore, who fosters a leadership style centered around people management, emphasizing the importance of coaching and conflict resolution within the team. The role is hybrid, requiring the new hire to work in the office two days a week, with a priority on customer and partner visits that align with business needs.
The travel requirements for this role are minimal and primarily internal, focusing on local engagements rather than extensive travel. This allows team members to maintain a strong presence within the local market and to foster relationships with key clients and partners effectively.
Your Role
- Oversee account management and engage deeply with enterprise clients to foster relationships and drive sales growth.
- Acquire new enterprise accounts and expand existing business opportunities, focusing on strategic growth.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, addressing conflicts and promoting skill development within the team.
- Develop strong relationships with C-level contacts and key partners to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Instill a culture of trust and integrity within the team, ensuring alignment with company values.
- Monitor team performance metrics, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives and integrate market insights.
What You Will Bring
- 5 years of account management experience within Named Accounts.
- Team leadership experience managing a sales team.
- Strong people management skills with a focus on trust and integrity.
- Proven ability to maintain and develop relationships with C-level contacts.
- Conflict management skills to address team challenges effectively.
- Familiarity with the system and IT market, virtualization, and market analysis.
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
