Job Title: AGTES (Gas Tester for Tank Maintenance)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Gas Tester to ensure the safe maintenance and operation of tanks within our facility. The Gas Tester will be responsible for conducting tests on tanks to detect hazardous gases, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and working closely with maintenance teams to facilitate safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct gas testing on tanks to identify the presence of hazardous gases, including but not limited to methane, propane, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
  • Monitor and record gas levels using appropriate testing equipment and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and safety teams to develop and implement safe work practices for tank maintenance.
  • Prepare detailed reports of gas test results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain testing equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Provide training and support to team members on gas detection and safety procedures.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to tank maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in gas testing or safety are a plus.
  • Proven experience in gas testing, particularly in tank maintenance or related fields.
  • Familiarity with gas detection equipment and safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Working Conditions:

  • The role may require working in confined spaces and outdoor environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times during testing and maintenance activities.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
