ASSISTANT SUPPLY CHAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist with daily operational needs such as purchasing, order processing, return processing, data entry, inventory requirements and various other reporting.
· Follow up and expedite suppliers on deliveries.
· Follow up on pending orders and resolve delays or discrepancies.
· Monitor and analyze supply chain KPIs, including delivery performance, order accuracy, and cost efficiency.
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
· Work closely with accounts payables to reconcile invoices and provide supporting documentation.
· Ensure products are undamaged and meet quality and quantity specifications.
· Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
· Ensure suppliers have the appropriate documentation to proceed with work.
· To assist in handling transportation arrangements when necessary to ensure on-time deliveries
· Handle material returns to vendors as required.
· Verify order details, including quantity and quality, before collection.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Work Experience:
· 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or logistics.
· Experience in ERP systems, supply chain software, or inventory management tools is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Knowledge of supply chain management software, ERP, or warehouse management systems (WMS).
· Strong understanding of procurement procedures, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
Soft Skills:
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decision-making.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under tight deadlines.
· Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to improving processes.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiarity with cost-reduction strategies and lean supply chain principles.
· Understanding of sustainability practices in supply chain management.
