Job Description
1. Lead Generation:
- Identify and reach out to potential clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online lead generation platforms.
- Utilize market research to uncover new business opportunities.
2. Consultative Selling:
- Assess customer energy needs and evaluate their site’s solar potential.
- Conduct site visits, analyze energy consumption, and recommend customized solar PV solutions.
3. Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing technical insights, answering inquiries, and addressing client concerns throughout the sales cycle
4. Sales Presentations and Negotiations:
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to highlight the benefits and financial returns of solar PV systems.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing to ensure a balance between customer satisfaction and business profitability.
5. Market Research:
- Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, government incentives, and regulations affecting the solar energy sector.
- Gather market intelligence to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
6. Sales Administration:
- Keep accurate records of leads, sales activities, and customer interactions using CRM software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution and customer support.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with technical teams, project managers, and installation crews to ensure successful project implementation.
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, components, and technologies.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal solar energy policies, incentives, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze client needs, provide tailored solutions, and close deals.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to meeting targets.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
