Job Description

An ELV (Extra Low Voltage) technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various electronic systems within a building that operate on low voltage levels, including security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, access control,ensuring their proper functionality and integration with the overall building infrastructure by performing installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.

Installation

  • Installing and terminating cabling for different ELV systems like data networks, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and audio-visual systems.
  • Mounting and connecting system components according to specifications.
  • Performing cable testing and ensuring proper signal transmission.

Configuration and Programming

  • Configuring and programming ELV system controllers to set desired functionalities and parameters.
  • Integrating ELV systems with other building management systems (BMS).

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Performing regular maintenance checks on ELV systems to identify potential issues.
  • Diagnosing malfunctions and troubleshooting system failures.
  • Repairing faulty components and replacing damaged equipment.

Technical Support

  • Providing on-site technical support to end-users regarding system operation and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless system integration.

Requirements

  • Full-Time Role for ELV Service Technician.
  • Experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of ELV systems.
  • Experience in cable termination and crimping.
  • Able to support on site and also in house
  • Minimum 1 Year Experience in CCTV and Door Access System.
  • Able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia. (Transportation allowance provided)
  • Good relationship with team.
  • Valid Driving License
  • Willing to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Overtime pay
  • Yearly bonus

Education:

  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • ELV: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driving License (Preferred)

Location:

  • Cheras (Kuala Lumpur) (Preferred)
