- Incharge of overall Occupational Safety and Health issues.
- Liaise with the government authority (DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and MBSA).
- Liaise with contractors for scheduled service, maintenance and certificate renewal (Fire Fighting System, Fire extinguishers, CMS System, omnilifter and cargo lift) and report if any system faulty within the service period.
- Conducts inspections to identify unhealthy or unsafe conditions or work practices.
- Periodically perform audit and safety inspection to ensure all activities are complying with Safety Rules and Regulation.
- Identify training needs, develop appropriate training programs and deliver training to employees.
- Ensure traffic, pedestrian walkway and parking rules are followed by staffs, customers, visitors and contractors.
- Ensure contractors follow the company safety requirements during performing their jobs.
- Assist the Security, SCC (GPS, CCTV and trucks monitoring) and guard post (i-gate pass) activities.
- Ensure subordinate perform their works as per the job description.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superior.
- Manage First Aid Box follow OSHA regulation.
- Safety briefing to Inplant staffs (e.g BATM).
- Fill up the Fire Prevention Checklist and submit as required by RHQ/GHQ.
- Monitor and update the trucks safety equipment checklist as per the SPAD requirements.
- Submit the Company Safety Perspective report and Global Traffic KPI report to RHQ/GHQ.
- Conducting of HIRARC to identify factors that may cause harm to employees and others at the workplace
- Involved in the new business set up in terms of safety and security (including DG Cargoes transportation and warehouse).
- Involve with MICCI meeting.
- Involve in GDPMD Audit
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in safety.
- Must be registered as a Safety Officer with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Comply with safety regulations compliance to company, corporate & local authority requirements (Guidelines, Licensing & Certificates) including updates to Legal Register Audit with Scope (OSHA 1994 , FMA 1967, Bomba Act & etc.) HIRARC, Safe Work Procedure etc.
- Conduct audit & inspection in the company premises (self, by relevant government departments and external auditors), compile and present audit findings.
- Knowledge in ISO 9001 / OHSAS 18001.
