Job Description: IT Asset Management Executive

Position Overview
The IT Asset Management Executive is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of IT assets, ensuring optimal utilization, compliance, and cost efficiency. This role involves managing procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT resources while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets using IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools like ServiceNow ITAM or Microsoft SCCM.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs by optimizing asset utilization and consolidating software licenses.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements through regular audits and tracking.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate contracts, ensure timely delivery of assets, and resolve disputes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making by analysing asset performance metrics and generating detailed reports.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline IT asset management processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times for procurement and deployment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, and operations teams to align asset management strategies with organizational objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT Asset Management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ITAM tools such as ServiceNow ITAM, Microsoft SCCM, or Flexera FlexNet.
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing compliance and risk management practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Experience in vendor negotiation and contract management.
  • Certifications such as CITAM (Certified IT Asset Manager) or CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) are a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated success in optimizing software/hardware expenditures and improving ROI.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in asset disposal or system implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with IT procurement processes and lifecycle cost analysis.

This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about maximizing the value of IT investments while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
