We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to inspire and educate students in music, drama, dance, and theatrical arts. The ideal candidate will create a dynamic and engaging learning environment, fostering creativity, confidence, and technical skills in students of all levels.
Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Curriculum Development
- Design and deliver engaging performing arts lessons, incorporating music, dance, drama, and theater techniques.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Introduce students to various aspects of performance, stage presence, script interpretation, vocal training, and movement.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic talents.
Performance & Event Coordination
- Organize and direct school plays, musicals, concerts, and talent shows.
- Prepare students for internal and external performances, competitions, and showcases.
- Collaborate with other departments to incorporate performing arts into school events and celebrations.
Student Development & Engagement
- Foster a supportive environment where students build confidence, teamwork, and self-expression.
- Identify and nurture individual talents, providing guidance and mentorship to aspiring performers.
- Encourage active participation in rehearsals, performances, and extracurricular arts programs.
Administrative & Professional Development
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and attendance.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and participation.
- Stay updated with trends in performing arts education and attend professional development workshops.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Music, Drama, Theater Arts, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in acting, vocal training, dance, or musical instruments.
- Experience in directing plays, choreographing performances, and stage management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for inspiring students and fostering creativity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students of different age groups.
- Background in music production, scriptwriting, or digital performing arts is a plus.
- Knowledge of theater lighting, sound systems, and stage design.
