Audit Assistant Manager
Job Responsibilities: -
- Lead and manage audit fieldwork at client sites, coordinating with other departments to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Review and assess risks, key controls, process flows, and significant accounting issues.
- Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (MFRS and MPERS) and related financial reporting matters.
- Prepare detailed Audit Planning Memorandums, identifying key risk areas.
- Develop audit work programs, determine audit procedures, and establish timelines with clients.
- Brief engagement team members on focus areas, risk factors, and potential audit issues.
- Supervise and guide audit staff to ensure compliance with the firm’s audit methodology.
- Monitor the progress of audit work and review working papers for accuracy and completeness.
- Review and sign off all audit working papers and draft financial statements.
- Review the Audit Planning Memorandum and prepare the Audit Review Memorandum.
- Draft the proposed auditor’s report.
- Ensure the complete assembly of the audit engagement file.
- Assess and review staff performance.
- Prepare client billings and assist with collections.
- Resolve any outstanding audit matters efficiently.
- Develop a thorough understanding of client operations, processes, and objectives to enhance audit quality.
- Identify areas for improvement in clients’ business processes, propose recommendations, and prepare the Management Letter.
- Mentor and coach junior team members by sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Maintain the highest professional standards and uphold strict client confidentiality.
Requirements:
· Recognized University Degree and/or relevant professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or equivalent or ACCA finalist with one to two papers outstanding.
· Minimum 5 to 7 years relevant experience is required for this position
· Strong technical ability, excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
· Team player with strong sense of responsibility
· Ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadline
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient in written and spoken English
