
Junior IT Project Coordinator
Job Summary: The Project Coordinator will support the Technical Department in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Coordinator will also assist in defining the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Schedule project meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Communication:
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project updates and issues in a timely manner.
Resource Management:
- Assist in the assignment of tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
- Manage project resources and track resource allocation.
Risk Management:
- Identify and manage project risks and issues.
- Provide support in mitigating actions and follow-up.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
Financial Management:
- Assist in the budgeting process and ensure project remains within financial scope.
- Track and manage project expenses.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Organize and maintain project files and databases.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role. (Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply).
Skills:
- Experience in IT / Telco industry will be an added advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional Details:
- Salary Range: Up to RM4,000.00
- Location: Damansara Utama, Selangor
- Working Hour: Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM
