The Bid Manager plays a crucial role in driving the success of our organization by collaborating with the Sales Director and the Malaysia sales team to oversee the management and governance of the sales process, especially during the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) phases. You may also be tasked with owning and leading key pursuits.

With exceptional writing skills, you may already have experience in bid management or be looking to take the next step in your career. By leveraging your natural leadership abilities to cultivate a strong team culture, you will elevate standards by working closely with Business Development Managers (BDM) and Business Unit Sales Coordinators (BUSC) to ensure that proposals are differentiated, innovative, client-focused, and delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and encourage BDMs and BUSCs in client research activities to support client relationship building.
  • Assist in preparing materials for meetings and presentations with prospective clients.
  • Lead or support the coordination of country events, contributing to content, themes, and materials.
  • Work with the Strategic Development Lead to support BDMs and BUSCs in developing vertical markets.
  • Ensure RFI questionnaires are submitted to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to manage proposals from initiation through to submission.
  • Support BUSCs in building confidence through coaching, proposal writing training, and personal development planning.
  • Partner with the Sales Director and Strategic Development Lead to embed and enhance processes and knowledge across the Country.
  • Build a network within the Bid Manager community to improve knowledge, share best practices, and leverage insights.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong bid writing and editing skills are essential. Previous bid writing and management experience in a sales environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SharePoint, InDesign, SmartSheet, and Salesforce is beneficial.
  • Experience in a bid management and/or sales environment.
  • Experience in writing and managing proposals.
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of people and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work beyond regular office hours when necessary to meet tight customer deadlines. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, site visits, or to attend conferences or events.

  • Salary Range: Up to RM10,000.00
