
Bid Specialist/Manager
The Bid Manager plays a vital role in driving the success of our organisation by working in partnership with the Sales Director and Malaysia sales team to oversee the project management and governance of the sales process, particularly at the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) stages. You may also be required to own and lead top pursuits.
You have exceptional writing skills and may already have bid management experience, or are looking to take the next step in your bid management career. Using your natural leadership skills to foster a strong team culture, you will drive up standards up by working closely with Business Development Managers (BDM) and Business Unit Sales Coordinators (BUSC) to ensure differentiated, innovative and client focused proposals are delivered on time and to an exceptional standard.
What you’ll do:
- Guide and encourage BDM and BUSC client research activity to support client cultivation.
- Assist with preparation of materials for prospective client meetings and presentations.
- Lead (or support) the coordination of country events by inputting into content, themes and materials.
- Work with the Strategic Development Lead to support BDMs and BUSC’s develop vertical markets.
- Ensure request for information (RFI) questionnaires are submitted to a high standard.
- Work closely with the sales team to manage proposals from initiation to submission.
- Help BUSCs build confidence by coaching and development through writing and proposal training, and personal development planning.
- ork in partnership with the Sales Director and Strategic Development Lead to embed and improve process and knowledge across the Country.
- Build an internal network across the Bid Manager community to enhance knowledge, share best practice, and collectively benefit from shared insights.
Job Requirements:
- Strong bid writing and editing skills are essential. Past bid writing and management experience in a sales environment is desirable.
- Must possess excellent Microsoft 360 skills – primarily Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. SharePoint, InDesign, SmartSheet and Salesforce are beneficial.
- Experience working in a bid management and/or sales environment.
- Experience writing and managing proposals.
- Experience of dealing with and co-operating with a wide range of people.
- Must be flexible to work outside core office hours from time to time to meet tight deadlines as set by customers (this role may require travel on occasions to other work locations for team meetings, site visits or to attend conferences or events).

- Salary Range: Up to RM10,000.00
