We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate needs to have extensive experience in procurement engineering within the transmission & distribution sector and Green Energy Solution sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for Green Energy Solution (GES) project and Transmission and Distribution (T&D) project. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Analyze and compare supplier quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Check and validate the Purchase Requisition (PR) from project team and process to issue the Purchase Order (PO)as per requirement.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure procurement aligns and meet with project schedules.
- Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies relevant to transmission and distribution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Prepare and maintain procurement reports, documentation, and records.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement (within the Solar industry is a plus and T&D industry).
- Advance in Design experience and project experience
- Power industry experience supporting large renewable energy power generation, substation or transmission lines projects. Preferably Experience in sourcing Primary, Secondary & ancillary equipment.
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong Engineering knowledge of procurement processes, industry standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients & suppliers is an added advantage.
