The Production Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of office furniture products. The role involves managing production schedules, optimizing resources, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring workplace safety. Successful candidate will report to Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

  • Execute daily production schedules based on customer orders and inventory as well coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
  • Monitor production output to ensure that targets are met within deadlines.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to conduct inspections and resolve any defects.
  • Implement corrective actions for non-conformance issues and ensure compliance with product specifications to maintain quality standards before dispatch.
  • Maintain a proper documentation of quality records and inspections.

3. Cost & Efficiency Management

  • Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Optimize the use of manpower, machines, and materials to minimize waste.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen.

4. Workforce & Team Coordination

  • Supervise and guide production workers to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide training and support to workers to improve skills and performance.
  • Address worker concerns and coordinate with HR on workforce planning and disciplinary actions.

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct routine safety inspections and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Implement and maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and material usage.
  • Generate daily and monthly production reports for management review.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in the office furniture industry.
  • Hands-on experience in production planning, process improvement, and quality control. Familiarity with ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen principles is an advantage.
  • Proficient in speaking and writing English and MS Office, ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment used in office furniture production.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality, ability to work in a dynamic environment, good problem-solving skills with excellent team management abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
