Technical Service Engineer
A. IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR
Head of Continuing Airworthiness.
B. DUTIES
1. To prepare technical instructions, specifications, documents, and reports for all aircrafts maintained by Prima Air including third party in order to facilitate the modification, repair or changes to the supporting technical documents of the respective aircraft.
2. To provide resolutions to technical problems and issues affecting the serviceability and maintainability of the aircraft.
3. Responsible to conduct studies and evaluations of modifications, repair schemes, products, or processes to enhance the economic operation, maintainability and life of aircraft, engine or component.
4. Maintain up to date publications of aircraft, engine, propeller, and related components in compliance with the Company and regulatory requirements.
C. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare Local Modification, Special Inspections, Repair Instructions, Aircraft Loading Schedule (Weight and Balance Report), Certificate of Compliance Document and Statement of Compliance in accordance to approved company procedures and regulatory requirement.
2. Evaluate AD, SB, SI, SL, other operator in service experience or other modification document to improve reliability of aircraft, engines or components and their operations, and present to Head of Continuing Airworthiness for deliberation / acceptance / implementation.
3. Check and verify mods bulletin approved for incorporation and implementation on aircraft engines or components in accordance to approved company procedures.
4. Raise Work Instructions to initiate fleet instruction arising from OEM source document or regulatory requirements.
5. Investigate major and recurring defects contributing to delays and component removal and to recommend preventive/corrective actions to the Head of Continuing Airworthiness.
6. Provide engineering services support to aircraft or engine undergoing maintenance check or encountering service disruptions.
7. Monitor aircraft engines on wing performance using the current system available via engine condition monitoring and undertake to initiate maintenance call out action to address performance deterioration.
8. Where applicable, to send Airframe/Component/Engine data for the respective OEM for review and to deliberate on the findings as provided by the OEM.
9. Ensure that all CAAM requirements are adhered to in the preparation of Engineering instruction, specifications, and documents.
10. Verify that all drawings are technically accurate in their content.
11. Provide consultative services on both aircraft and equipment projects, and existing fleet/equipment to all Prima Air / HMA fleet of aircraft and third-party aircraft.
12. Prepare Used Aircraft Report, where applicable.
13. To assist in Defect Analysis and recommend appropriate action.
14. In the absent of Technical Service Engineer, the Head of Continuing Airworthiness will take charge of the function.
15. To carry out any other applicable tasks as instructed by superior.
D. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum Degree or higher education.
2. 2 years minimum experience in Aviation.
3. Related course and/or maintenance background.
4. Specific training for CAMO as per CAD 6801 and CAD 6802, latest revision.
