The Head of Leasing/General Manager will oversee all aspects of the leasing function for the shopping mall, including leasing sales, tenancy administration, tenancy mix optimization & leasing strategy. This role ensures the mall is strategically positioned with a diverse and profitable mix of tenants while fostering strong relationships with tenants and achieving leasing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive leasing strategy aligned with the mall’s positioning and target market.
  • Identify potential tenants, negotiate lease agreements, and ensure timely lease renewals.
  • Optimize tenant mix to enhance customer experience and foot traffic.
  • Collaborate with marketing to attract leading retail brands and emerging tenants.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential tenants, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Conduct regular meetings with tenants to discuss performance, concerns, and opportunities.
  • Research on retail trends, competitor malls, and customer preferences to inform leasing strategies.
  • Monitor rental trends and adjust strategies accordingly, providing insights for rental pricing and lease terms.
  • Develop and manage leasing budgets, revenue forecasts, and financial reports to meet rental income targets.
  • Ensure leasing agreements comply with legal requirements
  • Lead the entire leasing & leasing admin teams and work closely with other departments.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Admin, Real Estate, Marketing or related discipline.
  • >5 years of experience in leasing management experience within Mall industry. Currently at HOD / GM level.
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth as well as in tenancy mix and occupancy rate improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Permanent vacancy based in Petaling Jaya.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM19,000.00 - RM23,000.00 per month
