Mechanical & Piping Field Representative - Executive - Immediate Hiring
We are looking for Mechanical and Piping Field Representative to work in our xP3 Project.
Working Location: Sendayan Techvalley, 71950 Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan
Working hours: Monday – Friday : 8.30am to 6.00pm (5.30pm on Friday)
Working Duration: 1 year + 1 year contract
Salary: RM 4,000 – RM 6,000 + Travel Allowance Provided + OT.
Job Summary:
The Mechanical and Piping Field Representative supports the xP3 Project Director by overseeing piping fabrication and equipment erection for the expansion project. Key responsibilities include reviewing technical documents, coordinating inspection activities, witnessing and signing off acceptance tests, and ensuring compliance with safety, engineering, and quality standards. The role involves daily site surveillance, line checks, final system inspections, and collaborating with HSE officers to mitigate risks. The position is 80% site-based and requires adherence to safety, environmental, and business ethics policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review piping fabrication and equipment erection documents; Welding Piping Specification(WPS) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) for acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with the general contractor quality controller on inspection activities.
- Witness and sign off inspection acceptance for the site piping fabrication; material specification, fit – up, welding, NDT (Dye Penetration Test, Radiography Test, Ultrasonic Test, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Holiday Test, Post Weld Heat Treatment, Hydro Test) inspections and the equipment erection activities ensuring that project specifications are built to requirement.
- Conduct daily site surveillance activities for fabrication and equipment erection which involves safety, piping and mechanical activities, material and equipment preservation, proper implementation of approved welding procedures and specification.
- Review and conduct line check inspection to ensure it comply both Engineering and QC requirements, prepare punch list and follow up on punch list clearing.
- Witness and inspection reinstatement and close out activities of piping systems after completion of test as per approved drawings, specification and commissioning requirements.
- Conduct final inspection for system mechanical completion.
- Check system completion through line checking based on approved for construction drawings such as Isometrics & P&ID of each system.
- Conduct rigorous safety assessments and risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential hazards jointly with HSE Officer.
- Adhere and actively participate in occupational Safety, Health and Environmental; and Energy policies, procedures and activities such as I-See I-Act, general planned inspection, low carbon initiative, etc.
- Adhere and comply with Business Ethics, Anti-Corruption, Flight Safety Management System, and others relevant policies, procedures and activities.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- >5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical and piping inspection.
- Profound knowledge of piping fabrication and rotating equipment.
- API570 Piping Inspector; NDT Level II certification or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Experience in brown field project will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, team player and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office application
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluent in English both speaking and writing.
